Nucor Corp. today announced plans for a $125 million transmission tower manufacturing facility in Decatur. The project will create 200 full-time jobs over a four-year period, with an average annual pay of $75,000, state officials said. The new plant will be located adjacent to the Nucor Steel Decatur sheet steel mill. The North Carolina-based company already has steel products manufacturing in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Fort Payne, Eufaula and Decatur.
