Morgan County authorities say a chase following an armed robbery ended in a creek with at least one occupant of the fleeing vehicle unaccounted for this afternoon. Decatur police said 911 dispatchers received a report of a robbery at Casa Santiago, 2812 Spring Ave. S.W., at about 12:53 p.m. Acting on a description of the vehicle, Decatur police's patrol division attempted a stop, but a pursuit developed along U.S. 31 South. During the chase, according to police, the driver of the vehicle lost control, crossed over the median and eventually ran into Flint Creek near Bowels Bridge Road, submerging the vehicle.
